Cockadoodle DOO mourns the passing of Frank Perdue

Portsmouth, NH- April 1, 2005 -Pure Barnyard, Inc., home of the Cockadoodle DOO® brand of Organic Lawn & Garden Products, issued a statement today regarding the recent death of Frank Perdue, founder of Perdue Farms, Inc.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Frank Perdue, he was a true entrepreneurial pioneer and a marketing legend in the food industry. We extend sincere and heartfelt condolences to all his family and friends," said Pure Barnyard President, John Packard.

Perdue Farms' subsidiary Perdue/AgriRecycle is a manufacturer for Pure Barnyard in the production of its Cockadoodle DOO Super-Premium Organic Lawn & Garden Fertilizer. "We are working with Perdue to address two important environmental concerns," stated Ian Grant, Chief Operating Officer of Pure Barnyard. "The first is to help clean up the Chesapeake Bay area by removing and processing chicken litter that was previously discarded. The second benefit is that by dehydrating and pasteurizing the chicken litter, we produce a safe, yet highly effective, Super-Premium Organic Fertilizer. Cockadoodle DOO Lawn & Garden Products offer environmentally conscious consumers an alternative to harmful chemicals," he added. "This environmental initiative is part of Frank Perdue's legacy."
